Required Skills: 

Candidates who are looking forward to work in Genpact should have the following skills.

1. Candidate should have prior experience in General Accounting process.

2. Candidate should have thorough knowledge of Balance sheet items/ Income statement line items.

3. Candidate should have knowledge of Accrual preparation/validation.

4. Closing cycle knowledge in sequential order (for -candidates from BPO Industry).

5. Candidate should have knowledge on Amortization of pre payments.

6. Candidate should have knowledge of Fixed assets accounting cycle (capitalization, depreciation accounting, disposals, retirement etc).

7. Candidate should have thorough understanding on Inter-company transactions (intercompany transactions/dispute resolution etc, group company settlements)

8. Candidate should have knowledge of Foreign exchange transactions (should be able to explain spot/average rates & Multi currency transactions).

9. Reconciliation of Balance sheet items (Fixed assets, current assets, current liabilities etc).

10. Expert hands on experience in Excel (Data validation, looks ups & pivot table) is a must.

11. Candidate should have working knowledge of MS access desirable.
