1. Build and maintain high-performance, scalable systems
2. Improve the reliability and efficiency of Twitter's core systems
3. Support Twitter’s internal APIs and user-facing products
4. Develop elegant solutions to complex problems
5. Code using Scala, Ruby, Java, or C/C++
